  1. @SupraDoug
  2. I'm not sure when the deadline to submit events is - but if anyone is interested in a GenCon event for HFB, here's my advice - DO IT! Put it together yourself! I've done about three or four now and they're a blast, especially at GenCon. If you're looking for guidance or ideas, I'd be glad to help; just let me know. : )
  3. What area do you live in @Diezel23? We're always looking for new players in our group!
  4. Yeah, it can be a bit confusing. Trading, selling, etc. is best done on Halo Miniatures Traders. The amount of persons who can approve requests to join the traders group has increased very recently, so hopefully this gets a little better. : ) As for the Halo Fleet Battles group, here's the group description: Discuss rules, the hobby, and ask any questions as we all learn this exciting and awesome game together! Please do not try and sell products or services on this page. Keep this group about Halo Fleet Battles, hobby progress, questions, or pretty much anything besides being rude, or trying to push personal product. I think the general attitude on that group is everything's cool until things get a little out of control (like more than a couple posts selling/trading/etc. within a week or two).
  5. Sadly, I won't be able to make it to GenCon this year. I'm very bummed. I too took part in the HFB event last year. If you're able to, I highly recommend getting involved. It really is tons of fun.
  6. Ever wanna hear a couple Halo nerds say 'uh' and 'uhm' alot while answering questions and talking about Halo Ground Command on a tabletop Podcast? Well you're in luck! @SupraDoug and I were pleased to join @Spartan Linde and Andy on the Exploding Dice Radio podcast on the freebooters network to discuss our favorite ground combat game. Skip to **46 minutes and 20 seconds** in to jump to the Halo games section, starting with covering Halo Fleet Battles then leading into Ground Command. Topics covered include what to buy next after the starter set, how to deal with that pesky Spartan, and other important subjects like just how many Spartan helmets @SupraDoug owns. Thanks once more to @Spartan Linde and Andy for inviting us on - can't wait to do it again. Enjoy! Dual posted across HFB and HGC boards. http://www.freebootersnetwork.com/2017/06/27/exploding-dice-radio-episode-4/

  8. Check out Fleet Signals review of the Autumn Class for Halo Fleet Battles. This isn't my video or anything, I actually have no idea who does these vids (though I'm guessing they're on these forums). I'm just a fan of this channel and wanted to share the good work. Thanks, GM
  9. @Bossman2014pug I started a living doc on the HGC Facebook page - anybody can edit and add to it! It covers this topic (it echoes what SpartanDerek has shared above). Check it out here.
  10. Glad to hear you found some players!
  11. Thanks for the share Derek! Looking forward to seeing your work on the table ( if all goes well ).
  12. Admin, please feel free to remove if this post is not okay. I started a doc on the HGC group on Facebook for strategies to use. Please feel free to edit and add as this is a living community page. https://www.facebook.com/notes/1146571188698714/Halo Ground Command: Strategies from the Community/1501903766498786/ Please let me know if there's any permissions issues as I haven't tested that yet. Thanks! Vinnie Vanguard
  13. Thanks for being apart of it Seahawk, and congrats on the win!!! It was fun to run and I look forward to joining in next year!
  14. I get that. In my experience, the heavies usually pull that attention first; basically any BG / SBG with an ORS, or other shiny things with a CCS or RCS like the Golden Path. This turns out to be an advantage for the supp, and let's them get into close range before the enemy makes them a priority. Also, with it's speed of 9 inches, the supp can usually stay out of range in turn 1 and still get into the fray effectively in turns 2 - 4. further, the triple 5-4-4 damage track and 4/4 DefA/PntDef is nothing to shake a stick at (assuming your defense dice pool rolling skills aren't too unlucky ).
  15. Great thoughts here Seahawk! As for '10. Supplicant SBG' - I can personally vouch for this group. I can't think of a game where I haven't included it actually. It's speed, durability and 18 dice output from 2 solutions makes it very potent at 180pts. I use it primarily as a flanker / harasser / finisher; hunting down damaged Valiants while picking off Paris/Halberds with ease. Excellent addition to many fleet builds in my humble opinion.
